Heaton & Associates was founded by Adam W. Heaton, an entrepreneur-attorney who also possesses a Master of Business Administration for Business, Government, and Not-for-Profit Management. Having obtained a law license from the highest court of three different states, Heaton has gained valuable experience in not only providing legal counsel to multiple clients at the same time, but doing so while also carefully navigating through each jurisdiction's unique statutes, regulations, and court procedures.
Always recognizing that the needs of the clients are paramount, Heaton soon found that in order to continue to provide clients with the high level of service and attention that he himself would expect, he would need the assistance of other client-service orientated attorneys. Having previously worked with both, Heaton asked Edwin A Cook, III and Charlotte M. Reed to join him.
In addition to Heaton, Cook, and Reed, the firm, through its contacts and relationships with attorneys throughout the country, is able to offer its clients access to a number of experienced attorneys and advisors, each possessing their own unique set of legal skills and background experiences. By joining together the unique skills and experiences of these professional advisors Heaton & Associates is able to offer clients the full range of legal and business consulting services to meet their needs.
For example, a client headquartered in Minneapolis was provided legal counsel in Moscow, Russia relating to the technology consulting services being provided in Russia to a company located there. Another client, a legal citizen of Canada, with significant financial holdings in Canada, but legally domiciled in the United States, was provided financial and legal counsel by the Heaton & Associates team.
In addition, the firm is able to offer very competitive rates to our clients by aggressively controlling firm costs and expenses by reducing unnecessary overhead and harnessing the power and efficiencies provided through the use of today's technology.
